Check out Edpuzzle!

Hello everyone, third post today. We are checking out Edpuzzle. Let's dive in.

Edpuzzle is a video "editing" platform in which you can add your magical teacher touch to any videos on the internet including Youtube and use those videos in your teaching. You can add notes to specific parts of videos if the instructions are not clear enough in the video or if you want to give some additional information. You can keep their focus refreshed by asking them multiple-choice questions to which they can get automatic feedback or even open ended questions. However, these open ended questions need to be evaluated by the teacher after the viewing so use them at your own discretion.

Edpuzzle could allow you to reinforce for accountability as they themselves put it by verifying wether your students are actually watching the videos or not. You can track that in real time. Moreover, you can engage your students more and save lots of time that would be otherwise spent before or after the viewing for additional instructions or questions as these can be added onto the videos.

Be sure to fiddle with this application yourselves and consider using this instead of just a plain video in your lecture. It might make a difference!
