Check out Google Classroom

Hello everyone, today we'll check out Google Classroom. Let's jump in!

Google classroom is an online environment dedicated to learning and teaching activities. It has a versatile set of tools that allows you -as a teacher- to monitor classroom activities asynchronously from your students.

The platforms allows you to share documents crucial to the courses, as well as allowing for exams to be conducted within it. To create a class simply press the big plus button on the top right and choose the "Create class" option. You can follow the boxes to fill and create a class. Then you can share the code of your classroom with your students and they can easily join the class with their google accounts.

You do not need to wait for everyone to join your classes before posting notifications or sharing resources with your students. As soon as a student joins the class they can see all the past activities as well. You can check the full list of participants -whether they are students or teachers- from the participants tab.

Besides all this. You can assign your students homework with a pre-determined deadline and they will be able to follow instructions and hand their homeworks in through google classroom's system. You can turn the late admission option on or off. If it's on, you'll accept late submission which will be marked as handed in late. Otherwise, if it's off, students will not be able to hand in their homeworks once the deadline is over.

Google classroom is a really handy tool for distant learning endeavours. It can also help immensely with face-to-face classes in terms of organizing all the resource and homeworks. Check it out yourselves!
