Check out Padlet!
Hello everyone, 2nd post today. This one is about Padlet, a collaborative webtool you might use in the classroom for various purposes. Let's take a deeper dive in.
Padlet is primarily used as a web based program but it can also be added as an extention to chrome. Padlet is primarily used as a collaboration tool. It is a digital pinboard that lets you gather images, videos, sounds and text together in an open space accessible to every participant. The very essence of it is people can work on a project together in an easy, fun and interactive manner. You can access padlet through www.padlet.com
The user interface for both teachers and students are very intuitive. Creating questions or groups in each columns is really easy and putting text or images underneath those are achieved through a simple click on a plus button. You also have cosmetic choices for your additions. You can modifiy the font and the colour of the cards. The toolbar at the top allows you to further modify the board. I'd recommend some fiddling around with them.
Padlet is a great tool for bringing your students together and refresh their active attention timers. The interactive nature of padlet draws more attention to it and allows teachers to reach more students easily. On top of that, lessons can be created by your students. You can just put the cornerstones of the lecture down and they can connect the dots. Since they were the creators of the lecture, it will be much more memorable and the learning quality will be much higher.
I recommend every teacher try padlet at least once in their active classes.
