Check out Zoom!

Hello everyone, second post today we will talk about Zoom. Let's see what it is all about!

Zoom is a teleconferencing application that entered our lives in a rapid fashion due to the pandemic. It filled the need for distant instant communication using text, voice and video. You can use zoom to have meetings free of charge with up to 100 people and up to 40 minutes at a time. If you choose to use its premium service, then there are no limitations for how many people can join the meeting or for how long the meeting lasts.

Zoom is an excellent choice for education. The host -in many cases, the teacher- can control the teaching environment with great flexibility thank to the application's features. You can mute everyone's microphone, you can turn everyone's video off in cases of disturbing events. The students can raise their hands or type on the chatbox to reach their friends or the teacher. All in all, it digitalizes the needs of a classroom environment perfectly.

On top of all this, you can record classes easily and either store them on your computer or a cloud server and share the video or audio files with your students. If one or some of your students miss a class, then they can watch the video or listen to the audio recording and catch up that way.

The past 2 years, nearly everyone got to use this application but if you haven't tried it yet, definetely give it a go for your teaching endeavours.
